German Rider Wins Stage 2 Of The Tour In Holland

Stage 2 of the Tour de France was a flat stage in the Netherlands, but it certainly didn't turn out to be an easy stage. Rain and wind gave the riders problems, and the peloton was not able to stay together -- with the lead group gaining nearly a minute and a half over the riders who could not stay in it. That's an almost unheard of difference for a flat stage. Andre Greipel of Germany won the sprint finish, with Peter Sagan of Slovakia finishing second and Fabian Cancellara of Switzerland coming in third.

Monday's ride will go to Belgium, and the race will go see it's fist climbing points awarded. The course has three level 4 climbs and a level 3 climb in the second half of the 159.5 kilometer course.
